HARRISBURG – Rep. Andrew Lewis (R-Dauphin) is hosting an active shooter resistance training seminar for area residents on Wednesday, Sept. 4, at 6 p.m. at the Lower Paxton Township Municipal Building, 425 Prince St., Harrisburg.

“While we all hope to never encounter an active shooter situation, we know these incidents can happen anywhere,” Lewis said. “I wanted to host this seminar to give people the opportunity to learn more about how they can protect themselves and their loved ones.”

Provided by Community Safety and Security Consultants, the seminar aims to educate people about preparedness and prevention techniques, emergency awareness and mental strategies, as well as response tactics to not only ACT but REACT during an active threat/active shooter or other violent situation.

The interactive training presentation also provides valuable information on what to expect and how to respond to law enforcement personnel as they arrive on the scene, as well as proper safety and accountability measures to use after safely evacuating a building.

A limited number of seats are available for this free seminar. To reserve a seat, please sign up at or call the Linglestown Road office at 717-652-3721.
